Question 1

What is progressive overload and how does MyNewPB automate it?

Accepted Answer

Progressive overload means gradually increasing exercise difficulty over time. MyNewPB automatically raises your target reps, time, or weight after each successful session — no spreadsheets or manual tracking needed.

Question 2

Can I use MyNewPB without signing up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. MyNewPB works entirely in your browser without an account. Your data is stored locally. Sign up to sync across devices and unlock premium features.

Question 3

Does MyNewPB work for gym workouts with weights?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Gym section tracks reps plus weight for exercises like bench press, deadlift, and squat. Both reps and weight increment automatically as you improve.

Question 4

How does the voice coaching work in MyNewPB?

Accepted Answer

MyNewPB uses your device's built-in speech synthesis to count you in, announce rest periods, read out your next exercise, and celebrate new personal bests — completely hands-free.

Question 5

What is a maintenance level in MyNewPB?

Accepted Answer

The maintenance level is the target you want to reach and hold. Once your current target hits maintenance, the exercise card turns green and stops incrementing — meaning you've mastered that exercise.
